Popular success at INTERSCHUTZ 2010

Over 125,000 visitors from more than 50 countries came to Leipzig for the rescue workers' trade fair from June 7 to 12. One of the most impressive new products in the range of technical rescue was from LUKAS: the world's first high-performance electrohydraulic complete rescue-set.

The new technology met with the immediate approval of fire brigades and rescue workers because of the independence it provides from power units and hoses. At rescue sites, that means cutters, spreaders and rams are ready for action right away.

New generation of rescue tools presented

The eDRAULIC tools were presented and demonstrated at the LUKAS stand. Observers were especially impressed that LUKAS has been able to reach the performance level of the most current tools. They were unanimous in agreeing that giving rescuers unrestricted freedom of movement at rescue sites is a valuable achievement.

Innovations optimised for real-world rescue work

There are good reasons why electrohydraulic rescue tools are now just as powerful as only those operated with power units had been before. Behind this success are more than 15 years of development in electrohydraulics, in co-operation with international rescue teams. The thoroughly positive reception at Interschutz shows that the effort was worthwhile.
